What I Read: February 2022

After reading almost nothing in 2021, I'm pretty pleased I've finished 12 titles in 2022, seven of which I finished in February. Hopefully that means I'll have a great reading year.

Book Review: My Imaginary Mary

Transparency: I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This title will be released August 2, 2022 from Harper Collins Press

What a ride. There is nothing like a book that breaks the fourth wall so frequently and with such abandon for traditional writing. This trio of writers does like to take a non-traditional route through historical fantasy and I've enjoyed the ride.

Book Review: The Unhoneymooners

The UnhoneymoonersThe Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I am struggling to put a star rating on this one. This is not my typical read. I don't know the last time I read a "beach read" or "chick lit" as this would probably be classified. The book was DELIGHTFUL ... for the first 50%. I felt like the story arch ended in the middle and then there was all this messy "real life" stuff afterward. I know this is probably how books like this typically read, but I'm not sure so I just don't know how to rate it. Don't hate me friends, I just don't typically read books like this.

Book Review: My Fine Fellow

Is that star rating generous, possibly. But I finished it last night and just enjoyed it too much to give it three stars.

Book Review: Bright Ruined Things

CHILLS. I finished with actual chills. When was the last time a book gave me actual chills? I can't even think of a time honestly. I'm a little obsessed with this one, let's get into it.
